Q - What is Network 2009 - Columbus?
A - This annual Conference is a three-day event centered around education. It is designed to bring embroiderers together to learn and share in a fun, comfortable setting. The conference package includes two days of Education, VIP Session, an evening cocktail hour - the Gathering, two lunches and a banquet with entertainment - the Gala, as well as the industry Garage Sale and a Trade Show. The Conference has been described as the “family reunion” of embroiderers. It is like being enjoying a table laden with delectable “embroidery” goodies, everywhere you turn people are sharing ideas and helping each other! This is the Embroidery Event of the year.

The Trade Show features 1000's of products from your favorite suppliers for your commercial embroidery/apparel decoration business. Companies showcasing equipment (embroidery, direct garment printing, laser engraving, sublimation, heat press) digitizing software, blank goods, supplies and services are exhibiting at Network 2009.

Q - When is the Conference?
A - Thursday & Friday, April 16-17, 2009

Q - When is the Trade Show?
A - Friday, April 17 from 9:30 AM – 5 PM & Saturday, April 18 from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Q - Should I register before Network 2009?
A - Pre-registration is required IF you want to attend the entire conference. It is not required if you want to attend the Trade Show & Garage Sale.

If you are experiencing difficulties with online registration, please call NNEP at 800-866-7396 between 9 AM - 5PM EST, until April 10 and your registration can be taken over the phone. After April 10, you can register on site for the Trade Show & Garage Sale at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Dublin, OH.


Q - Can I register AT the show?
A - YES, for the Trade Show & Garage Sale! Registration is open from 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM on Wednesday, 7:30 AM - 5 PM on Thursday, 8 AM - 5 PM on Friday and from 9 AM - 3:30 PM on Saturday.

Q - How do I register?
A - Registration will open in late November, 2008. Register online or mail, fax or call in your registration form. If you register ONLINE, you will be e-mailed an acknowledgement of your registration. If you register by phone, fax or mail, you will NOT be mailed an acknowledgement when you register for the Trade Show. Conference registrants will receive a conference attendee packet by mail approximately 10-14 days before the event with additional participant information.

Q - How much?
A - Conference Registration is $TBD/person. This includes BOTH DAYS at the Conference and Trade Show and Garage Sale and the VIP session and 2 lunches and the Gala Dinner & Entertainment on Friday evening! Pre-Register by April 10, 2009.

VIP Session Registration is $TBA/person. This includes the half day VIP Session on Friday, lunch on Friday, BOTH DAYS at the Trade Show and Garage Sale.

Trade Show & Garage Sale Registration is $10/person. This includes BOTH DAYS at the Trade Show and Garage Sale.

If you are a current member of the National Network of Embroidery Professionals (NNEP), Trade Show/Garage Sale Registration is Free for everyone that attends from your organization.

Q - Where is Network 2009 located?
A - Embassy Suites Hotel, Columbus/Dublin, 5100 Upper Metro Place, Dublin, OH 43017

Q - Where can I stay?
A - For Hotel Reservations, call 800-EMBASSY, and mention Group Rate Code "NNE." The group rate is $134.99/night for up to 4 people per suite. FYI - The group rate expires 3/24/09. You can also make reservations online by clicking here: Embassy Suites Hotel - Dublin

We encourage you to make your reservations asap, this hotel will sell out during this event.


Q - How do I book a flight to Columbus?
A - To make air travel arrangements, call your travel agent or check online for competitive airfares.

Q - What is The Garage Sale?
A - It is exactly what it sounds like, done Embroidery-Style! Check it out - you never know what great bargains you will find! Buying at the Garage Sale is open to everyone attending the Conference, VIP Session or Trade Show. CASH ONLY for most items - there is an ATM located in the hotel. Selling at the Garage Sale is a benefit available only to members of the NNEP. Members can sell all of those embroidery and business items that have collected over the years that are never used. NNEP does NOT take any portion of any Garage Sale proceeds for running this event.

Q - What are Hooper collectibles?
A - The sale of Hooper Collectible figurines is one of the primary fundraisers for Embroidery Network Foundation, which supports Women's Shelters across the United States. Support this program by making a donation to the ENF at Network 2009. As you enjoy Hooper’s sunny disposition, you will be reminded that you have played a role in adding a smile to another.

Q - What is the DoDuds Apparel Drive?
A - Each year, NNEP hosts a DoDuds Apparel Drive at this event for the Embroidery Network Foundation. NEW clothing, blank or decorated, can be donated. All collected apparel items will be donated to a women's shelter, as they have great need for new apparel in all sizes, for women and children. Imagine what a difference we can make if everyone brings at least one item!

Q - Can my kids attend?
A - Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the Conference or VIP sessions. Proof of age is required if you wish a minor, aged 14-18, to attend the Conference with you and that individual must also register to attend.

The Trade Show is held in on several floors of the hotel which are dedicated to the participating suppliers. Displays pose a possible danger with equipment breakable and stainable items. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised and are not permitted on the Exhibitor floors without an adult. The purpose of Nework 2009 is to conduct business. It is not set up to handle the needs of children nor are child care services provided. You will need to make your own arrangements for child care while at this event. Please note this policy is strictly enforced.


Q - Can I wear the Network 2009 Design?
A - YES! You can download a digitized version of the Network 2009 design (available soon). Do your thing, and wear it to Network 2009! It is always interesting to see so many different interpretations of a design. The show design is only available in the size and format provided. The digitized file was created by Wicked Stitch of the East, one of the NNEP's supplier members. Thanks, Jay!
